Base High Drive Linear Amplifier 4 X 2sc2879 With Power Supply 12.8 Vdc@100 Amps

  

Offered up is another one on my latest builds. This is a home base 4 X 2SC2879 High Drive amplifier 10 & 11 meters that incorporates a 12.8VDC 100 amp power supply. It measures 11" LENGTH x 12" WIDE x 4 TALL very small and compact for its capabilities. Built with the black DOTS that Ranger RCI radios use, their quality outputs.

This unit is running very cool and stable. It can take up to 80 watt input. I say 80 watts because I have the supply power fixed at around 12.73 volts when keyed down allowing the additional input without destroying the transistors. Experiment with it you will find its sweet spot. Check out the photos they tell the story of its creation. The damage is on the bottom of the case and is purely cosmetic and does not affect the performance of the unit at all. This unit incorporate 3 cooling fans, two cooling fans are dedicated to the power supply and are variable speed as the unit heats up the spin up and when it cools they spin down. The third cooling fan is dedicated to the amplifier and blows directly on the aluminum heat sink for maximum cooling affect. There is an additional 20 amp power point connection on the front of the amplifier for you to hook up your radio or what ever you need 12 volts for.

Being offered as is for parts. It is the first amp I include a 100 amp power supply in.
