Rare McIntosh 15-W-2 Amplifier Power Supply Tube Amp #57

  

Vintage original McIntosh 15-w-2 mono tube amplifier, with all the original tubes, fused / ac plug and preamp connection plug. This was said to be working many years ago then stored inside a closet. However I have not tried to power this up as cord has bare spots and that at least needs to be replaced, also I do not have a compatible preamp. And would not be surprised if it needs other service.

It is in very good cosmetic condition. There are some scuffs or scratches but nothing serious. These are known for their incomparable vintage McIntosh design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, fit, finish, parts quality and potential sound quality.

This Amp is definitely a piece of audio history, quality made and designed in the USA when McIntosh was making a name for themselves. This will probably need restoration and possibly parts and repair that all vintage audio amplifiers of this age would need but is super rare and from approximately 1948. One of the rarest McIntosh amplifiers ever made.
