Neo MK2 turntable PSU + Strobe KIT. The new Neo MK2 is housed in a redesigned case to bring it in line with other products in the range creating an improved family feel.

The Neo MK2 PSU is an advanced turntable power supply providing user controllable fine speed adjustment, an advanced anti-vibration motor circuit and the convenience of electronic speed change. The Neo MK2 will make a welcome addition to any compatible Rega turntable by reducing motor noise, improving speed stability and rotational speed accuracy. The Neo MK2 PSU is compatible with the following Rega turntable models. P3-24 / RP3 / Planar 3 2016-current / RP6 / P5 / P7 / RP40 special edition / RP8 Or any older Rega turntable fitted with our aftermarket 24v upgrade kit. Using the same DSP (digital signal processing) generator found in the Planar 10 power supply the Neo MK2 is built upon a high stability crystal.

The DSP generator will divide the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the platter at the selected speed whilst producing a near perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the 24v motor. Fine speed adjustment is made via the rear panel using the supplied custom Neo trim tool (supplied).

The hand-held strobe unit generates a 100 Hz pulsed light source for use with the supplied 180-line stroboscopic disc. Designed as the perfect partner for the speed adjustable Rega NEO TT PSU. Simply place the supplied stroboscopic disc directly on the turntable mat. With the player running at 33 1/3 RPM hold the strobe LED directly above the lines to evaluate the speed of the turntable. With your turntable rotating and the speed set at 331/3 RPM, place the stroboscopic disc over the record spindle directly onto your turntable mat. Hold the strobe approximately 2-3 centimeters from the lines on the disc.

If the lines freeze and remain stable, this indicates the turntable is running at the correct speed. If the lines on the disc are moving slowly clockwise, this indicates the turntable is running fast. If the lines on the disc are moving slowly anticlockwise, this indicates the turntable is running slow. TIP: To ensure an accurate reading it is recommended to hold a reference point such as a pencil tip near the lines during rotation to easily identify if the lines are stable or rotating.

If your turntable or power supply are adjustable, you can correct the speed of the turntable until the lines are stable.
