ZinAmp Regulated Power Amp Supply -/+35, 42 & 48v DC
Regulated Power Supply for up to two Power Amps (l & r). Regulated to between 1 and 10mv of ripple, depending on load. Requires 2x2.5A fast blow fuses. Jumper switches for voltage selection of -/+35, -/+ 42v or -/+ 48v.
Can be run up to -/+ 56v with appropriate modification. Note: this supply has split rails i.
Protects against chaos of fuse-failure on one rail by automatically reducing the voltage on the other, protecting your precious amplifier! This is a regulated supply, meaning it uses a feedback control loop to sustain a very consistant ripple-free DC voltage. This negates the need for big filter capacitors and is perfect for Class A amplifiers where DC ripple can be a problem due to large standing-currents required. It can easily provide enough current to run a stereo pair of power amplifiers rated at 150W. Two of these supplies can be used where power requirements are greater.
Depending on the regulated voltage required, the following voltage of transformer should be used. Note: A single transformer can be used to run two of these modules simultaniously - recommend 300VA transformer when doing this. Heat-sink mounting plate also available - see options and images above.
